Princeton Borough Police Log: April 27-28

Princeton man charged with assaulting police, resisting arrest.

  Ernst Delma, 28, of Leigh Avenue in Princeton, was charged with aggravated assault, shoplifting and resisting arrest at 2:45 p.m. April 28. Princeton Borough Police were dispatched to Nassau Street and Witherspoon Street on the report of lewd acts.  Witnesses told police that Delma was walking with his pants down to his ankles while making obscene comments to pedestrians.  When police arrived, they allegedly found Delma had $27.45 of stolen property from Labyrinth Books.  As officers took Delma into custody, he allegedly spit on the head and legs of two of the officers while physically resisting the arrest.  He was charged and put in Mercer County Detention Center on $7.500 bail with an April 30 court date.   Four juveniles were charged …

Princeton Borough Police Log: April 20-21

Juvenile delinquency charges against four teens, Princeton man charged with assault.

  Omar Haddara, 22, of Skillman, and Stavros Economopoulos, 21, of Montgomery, were charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:38 a.m. April 20. Police said an officer saw a suspicious vehicle parked on Wilton Street with Haddara and Economopoulos inside. The officer smelled raw marijuana inside the vehicle and found rolling papers and marijuana inside the car. They were charged and released with an April 30 court date.   Four teens were charged with robbery and one also was charged with possession of marijuana in Princeton Borough on April 21. Borough police were called to Morning Glory at 20 Nassau St. on a report of a shoplifting in progress at shortly before 4:30 p.m.  Police said …
