It looks like the new Princeton needs to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and get applicants who are well qualified rather than well connected. It’s hard to get both.
Ms. Monzo didn’t break any rules or existing policies because there weren’t any effective policies to break nor did she show objectivity or the ability to make an intelligent executive decision even though she is an Assistant Administrator and a Director of Finance. One has to wonder if she is qualified for her existing responsibilities and what were her real motivations were when hiring three daughters.
It would seem appropriate that all hiring policies and practices be reviewed so employment opportunities are fair and open to all rather than to relatives and friends of existing employee only. Post them on the web etc. so we can the most qualified applicant. Our benefits and pay scale exceed most.
