Bradley W. Dickinson, 63, of Lawrenceville, died on Jan. 22, 2012 in Trenton. A professor of electrical engineering at Princeton University for 37 years, Bradley was born in St. Marys, Penn. to William and Maxine Dickinson. He received his bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve University and his master's and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He was appointed as assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Princeton University in 1974 and promoted to professor of electrical engineering in 1985. In 1987, he was elected as a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Filomena C. (Nini) Pirone, 100, of Princeton died Friday, January 27, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 1, 1911 in Pettoranello di Molise, Italy she immigrated to Princeton in 1946. Filomena was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Princeton I.A.S.C Ladies Auxiliary. Daughter of the late Vincenzo and Columba (Pinelli) Nini, wife of the late Umberto Pirone, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law Felix and Elizabeth Pirone, Anthony Pirone, a daughter and son-in-law Christine and Teodoro Tamasi, 7 grandchildren Felisa Scannella, Pamela Pirone, Umberto Pirone, Mario, Mark, Matthew Tamasi and Melinda Godonis. Royal Anderson passed away on Jan. 14.
Royal Waye Anderson, 86, of Princeton, died on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Princeton Care Center. He was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada. After college he joined The Bank of Nova Scotia where worked until his transfer in 1953 to the Wall Street Agency in New York City, and he retired as a Senior Assistant Agent in International Finance. Anderson was an elegant and gentle man who loved classical music, reading, traveling, and interacting with people of all ages. He will be greatly missed by the many who loved him. Richard Jesser passed away on Dec. 17
Richard W. B. Jesser died Dec. 17 in The University Medical Center of Princeton after a brief but devastating illness. He was born in 1927 in New York City, the third son of Arthur Edward Jesser and Vera Benn Jesser. He grew up in Hackensack. During WWII he enlisted in the US Navy pilot training program and was sent to Union College in Schnectady, NY where he received a degree in civil engineering followed by a Master’s at Harvard University. In 1959 he married Sallie Willis of Princeton and soon after traveled to Jordan and from there Bolivia. Ten years later he returned to Princeton with his wife and three ch.ildren and continued his engineering career on numerous projects in the U.S as well as abroad. He was well known to local …

Christopher Benchley passed away on Dec. 29
Christopher Wesson Benchley, son of Wendy and the late Peter Benchley of Princeton died on Dec. 29 in an accident in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He was 24. Christopher graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs and a minor in Anthropology from the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami. He had spent his freshman year at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a 2005 graduate of Princeton Day School. As an athlete, Christopher excelled at soccer. He played for the Princeton Soccer Association’s travel teams. Rev. John "Johnny" Crocker, Jr., 88, longtime rector of Trinity Church in Princeton, died on Dec. 30, 2011 in Cambridge, Mass. Crocker joined Trinity in 1977 from the Episcopal chaplaincy at MIT and served until his retirement in 1989, according to the Trinity Church's online history, Crocker's tenure included expanded outreach, consolidation of the many liturgical changes of the preceding years and planning for needed facility improvements. He is survived by three children, five stepchildren and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Christ Church Zero Garden St., Cambridge, Mass. on Monday, January 9 at 2 p.m. Rev. Rose Wetzel passed away on Dec. 14
Rose Panek Hamrysky Wetzel, a lifelong resident of Princeton, died at home, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, Dec. 14. She was a volunteer for 22 years with the Red Cross, Princeton University and the Princeton Senior Resource Center. Rose is survived by her daughters, Gloria Bell and Dolores Doney, a son, Richard Hamrysky, and his wife Marcia, eight grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Family and friends may gather on Tuesday Dec. 20 at the Kimble Funeral Home, 10:30 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:45 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. John Charles Alexander, 67, died on Dec. 10 at his Princeton home in surrounded by family. Born on Dec. 28, 1943 in Perth Amboy to the late Charles Alexander and Agnes Alexander, he was raised in Fords and graduated Woodbridge High School in 1961. He earned his Bachelor of Science from St. Francis University and his Doctor of Medicine from St. Louis University, and then went on to complete his internship at Washington University-Barnes Hospital. Upon earning a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Alexander completed his residency in preventative medicine and public health at the Medical College of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. Antoinette N. Baldino, 87, of Princeton died Wednesday, Nov. 30, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Princeton for the past 44 years. Antoinette was a hairdresser for 55 years and spent most of her employment with Artistic Hairdresser in Princeton. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, Princeton Engine No. 1, and the Italian American Sportsman Club. Antoinette was an avid reader, loved the arts especially musicals and plays and was known for her parties where she enjoyed making her fine Italian dishes for her family and friends. Catherine McGrath passed away on Dec. 1.
Catherine "Kay" McGrath, 87, of Princeton died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 1 at Princeton Hospital after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Boston, where her father, an Irish emigre, worked as a cement finisher and as an active labor leader, serving as the business agent for the American Brotherhood of Cement and Asphalt Workers. Kay graduated from Boston University. She was the founder and, for more than 20 years, the executive director of the Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, building the council with a $5,000 bank loan, the use of a borrowed brownstone in Trenton and only herself on the staff to a county-wide organization with more than 50 employees and million dollar budgets.
