Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party & More

Looking for things to do in and around Princeton this week? Here are some highlights.

Monday

The public is invited to tour the recently-completed Learning Commons at John Witherspoon Middle School that is benefitting students and that was made possible through their support of the 2012 Referendum. Light refreshments will be served. 4:30-6:30 p.m. 

Asm. Reed Gusciora will speak on marriage equality at the Mercer County Human Relations Council Meeting. Lower level conference Room, Lawrence Township Municipal Building, Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m, then there will be a short break before Reed speaks at 7:30 p.m. 

Tuesday

In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness month, Womanspace will launch the Communities of Light Peace Begins At Home campaign. The event is a symbol of hope for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault and helps raise awareness and let victims know that they are not alone. St. Paul's Church, 5:30 p.m. 

The League of Women Voters of the Princeton Area invites the community to Back to League Night. A brief documentary, "Storming for the Vote:  Hurricane Sandy and the Election," will be shown, celebrating those efforts ensured that citizens displaced by the storm could vote in the 2012 General Election. Community Room, 400 Witherspoon Street, 7-9 p.m. 

Wednesday

Radio Disney Junior Halloween Party at MarketFair Mall. Enjoy games, music, prizes and celebrate your favorite Disney Junior shows. Feel free to wear your costume, 11 a.m. to noon. 

Thursday

Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party at Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Princeton. Dance to the Wicked Waltz, Chilling Cha-Cha, Haunting Hustle, Monster Mash & Frightening Fox Trot.  Costumes are suggested, 7:30 p.m. 

Friday

The Glenn Miller Orchestra will join the Princeton High School Studio Band and Jazz Ensemble. The dance will feature music from PHS band students and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Space is limited. Tickets may be purchased and if available, at the door, 7-10 p.m.
