St. Paul Lions Boys Soccer Celebrates Undefeated Season

Team finishes with 8-0-2 record.

Princeton's St. Paul Lions Boys Soccer team ended it spring season undefeated in the Mercer County CYO League with a victory over St. Mary's on June 16.

The Lions finished first in the regular season with an 8-0-2 record, which included six shutouts. The team then closed out the season with shutout victories over St. Gregory the Great in the semi-final and St. Mary's in the tournament final giving the Lions an overall record of 10-0-2.

“We have been focusing on defense all season long,” said Coach Trombetta of the Lions. “Both St. Greg's and St. Mary's played us close during the regular season, resulting in our two draws. During the playoffs, we were able to execute extremely well on the offensive end.”
