Put Your Name on Princeton School Property, Get Sent to the Principal's Office

But don't worry, it's all for a worthy cause- education.

Want to support Princeton Public Schools?

The Princeton Education Foundation is offering residents the opportunity to show their community pride through the newly launched “Take A Seat!” fundraising campaign at John Witherspoon Middle School.

By making a tax-deductible donation to the campaign, residents can sponsor a plaque on a seat in the middle school’s recently renovated auditorium. Up to four lines of text can be inscribed on the plaque to honor a student, teacher, family, club, graduating class or special event. Money will support high-priority needs throughout the district with special emphasis on the middle school.

“How often do you have the chance to leave your name on school property without getting in trouble?” asks John Witherspoon principal Jason Burr. “You might get sent to my office but only so that I can thank you for supporting our school district and the teachers and students who make it one of the best in the country.”

For a donation of $150, donors may make a two-line dedication (30 letters/spaces per line) on a seat in the rear section of the auditorium; for $400, three-line dedication on a seat in the middle section; for $750 a four-line dedication on a seat in the front section; and for $1,000, a four-line dedication on a seat in the front section plus listing on a special plaque outside the auditorium.

“Here in Princeton we have long believed that educating our children is the best investment we can make as a community, so we expect to see many names filling up JW’s auditorium,” said Princeton Education Foundation President Jean-Anne Madden.

Since 1995, PEF has contributed over $1.2 million to the Princeton Public Schools for capital improvements, educational programs and teacher support.
