ONE 53 and Joachim Boekelmann are teaming up to host a fundraiser at the Rocky Hill, NJ restaurant on Thursday, February 28th from 6-9 PM. The charity is the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation, which has affected the Boekelmann family personally.
There will be a Prix Fixe menu with a choice of two starters, four entrees, and two desserts of some of their patron’s favorite dishes. The three courses offered at the Dining for a Cause event include complimentary soft drinks. ONE 53 has a liquor license, so you can purchase alcohol libations if that’s your fancy.
The cost is $60 per person, and $25 of that will go directly to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation. That means the dinner will only cost you $35 (tax and gratuity not included).
There will also be a small art auction for the cause. This event is open to the public. Anyone ordering the Prix Fixe menu for $60 that evening will have $25 donated to the benefit. I find this VERY generous!
