I would say buyer and contractor beware. I am a contractor in Princeton, N.J. I was hired by Darko Bogy to complete construction services at end of one of his customer’s renovation projects in beginning of Oct. 2012. The job we did was located in Princeton, N.J. Our services were completed by Oct.22nd, 2012. Mr. Bogy promised to pay my company as soon as work was completed. The amount owed was $2,170.00. He also made a promise to pay my workers $100.00 each if they finished the job quickly. Since Oct. 22nd (date on completion and billing for work) my company has not been paid for the services we rendered Princeton Bath and Kitchen/ Bogy Construction! Additionally, my workers were never paid the $100.00. More then 50 times Mr. Bogy has promised to pay my company for the work we did but job is still the job is unpaid! I have been so patient with Mr. Bogy and he is seemingly sincere in wanting to pay me. Mr. Bogy says "I will pay you" and “I will call you next week on Monday” and then he DOES NOT CALL! It is always promises but he never follows through and weeks go by. Mr. Bogy gave me a post-dated check in mid July for the payment of services rendered Oct. 22nd job and for a past due on another unpaid job but check bounced due to lack of funds in account. Subsequent attempts to tender check were rejected. I recently counted the txt messages exchanged between myself and Mr. Bogy that started on Oct. 22nd, 2012. There are 48 messages requesting payment and expressing frustration with 13 messages returned saying in effect "I will pay you soon". As of 2/13/14 the job we completed on 10/22/12 is still unpaid! We did the job well, we did the job fairly and we did the job on time. This complaint of not being paid or, being paid after many months later, is not uncommon according to other contractors I have talked to. At this point, it seems as if his strategy is to make it so difficult you would give up on ever getting paid.
