As the Township prepares to open phase one of the trail, rules and regulations are put into place

Upper Saucon will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 11th at 10am, officially opening the two mile phase one portion of the project. Board of Supervisors Chariman Miro Gutzmirtl said that the trail was in excellent condition describing it as “a runner’s paradise.”

Before you head onto the trail with your bow and arrow, fireworks collection, and livestock however, take the time to brush up on the rules and regulations the township will be posting and enforcing along the trail.

The trail is beautiful and such an asset for our community. I sincerely hope everyone will adhere to the rules so that we may all enjoy the trail. I would suggest that the local police force patrol the trail on bicycle on a regular basis. I think the two biggest problems will be keeping motorized vehicles off of the trail and teenagers possibly partying on the trail at night.

Are bicycles allowed?

Steve, as the rules currently stand-again its still not finalized-bicycles are allowed, provided they are not powered by a motor of any kind.
