Princeton Democrats Endorse Nemeth for Assembly

The Princeton Community Democratic Organization also endorses Obama, Menendez, Holt and Freeholders.

The Princeton Community Democratic Organization endorsed candidates for federal, state and county offices at its monthly meeting on Sunday, Feb. 26.

The evening began with presentations by U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-NJ) before a crowd of well over 100 that included PCDO members, elected officials and members of the public. Jackie Cornell-Bechelli, the NJ state director of Obama for America followed with an update on the presidential campaign.

The one contest for the group's endorsement was for the special NJ 16th District Assembly election. After a debate between candidates Sue Nemeth of Princeton and Marie Corfield of Flemington, 75 ballots were cast by eligible PCDO members residing in Princeton whose dues were paid at least two weeks prior to the meeting.
