Two People Injured in Accident on Route 206

Monday's accident closed Route 206 in both directions for about 50 minutes.

 

Two people were injured and one person cited for careless driving after an accident on Route 206 in Princeton on Monday. 

The accident happened about 3 p.m. and closed traffic in both directions for about 50 minutes

According to police, Frances Dambrisi, 82, of Princeton and Andrew Foster, 18, of Wall, NJ, were both driving south on Route 206 just south of Edgertoune Road. 

Dambrisi's Mercedes Benz was stopped in traffic and waiting to turn into a driveway when she was rear-ended by Foster's GMC Wagon. The crash pushed Dambrisi's car into the oncoming lane of traffic, while Foster's car continued south on Route 206, drove off the road and hit several mailboxes before stopping.

Dambrisi complained of chest pains and Foster suffered cuts to his face. Both were transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton of Plainsboro by Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad. 

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Route 206 was closed for about 50 minutes. 

Ptl. James Martinez issued Foster a summons for careless driving.
