Man Allegedly Tried to Stab Coworker with Fork

The incident happened on Saturday, police said.

 

A 33-year-old Westampton man was arrested on Saturday after police say he got into an argument with a coworker at Tandori Bite, pushed the victim to the ground, threatened to kill him and attempted to stab him with a knife. 

Surjit Singh was arrested and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and unlawful weapons possession.

The incident happed at Tandori Bite, located at 36 Witherspoon Street. 

According to Borough Police, an argument erupted at the restaurant and Singh pushed the victim to the ground, threatened to kill him and attempted to stab him with a fork.  The victim shielded himself with his hands and suffered a slight laceration to his right hand.

Singh was released without bail. He is due in court on Nov. 19.
