Princeton Woman Charged With DWI In School Zone; Had Lawrence Twp. Warrants

A 54-year-old Princeton woman was charged Wednesday with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, police said.

The incident, which took place at 10:18 p.m. at Witherspoon Street and Paul Robeson Place, allegedly involved Stacey Carney of Spring Street, police said.

Subsequent to the motor vehicle stop by Ptl. Chris Craven, it was discovered that Carney had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to operating her vehicle. Carney was placed under arrest and transported to police HQ where she was processed and later released to a friend.

Carney was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, DWI in a School Zone, and Reckless Driving. Active warrants were also located for Carney out of Lawrence Twp. Municipal Court for $1000.00. ROR was authorized by Lawrence Municipal Court on that warrant.
