Princeton Police to Host Youth Police Academy

The five day academy is scheduled to begin August 20.

 

Princeton Township and Princeton Borough Police will cohost a Youth Police Academy from Aug. 20-24 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Anyone with an interest in law enforcement or who is curious to learn the inner workings of a police department is encouraged to sign up.

The week will include classroom activities, hands on techniques, and police demonstrations, including car accident investigations,, crime scene investigation, arrest procedures, motor vehicle stops, building searches, fire safety and basic first aid. 

The youth academy is open to students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades who live in Princeton or attend any Princeton school.

Anyone interested should complete a registration form and return it to Sgt. Michael Cifelli or Det. Ben Gering by July 27, 2012.
