Princeton Police Begins Distracted-Driving Program

Law enforcement officers from the Princeton Police Department will be cracking down on distracted drivers as part of a statewide campaign designed to target the use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle.

Beginning today and running through April 21, the initiative includes high visibility law enforcement patrols for the purpose of attempting to increase traffic safety by targeting distracted driving, specifically the use of cell phones for talking and/or texting while operating a motor vehicle.

Questions concerning the effort can be directed to Sgt. Thomas Murray at 921.2100, ext 1879.
