The repair and resurfacing of Mercer Road, between Province Line and Quaker roads will begin in Princeton on May 5.
From Princeton officials:
The first part of the project, which will involve the milling, repair and repaving of the road surface, is scheduled to begin on May 5th between the hours of 7am and 5pm and is expected to take approximately 10-14 days.
The second phase of the project will begin upon completion of the first phase and will involve the milling, repair and resurfacing of Quaker Rd. between Mercer Rd. and the Port Mercer area, again between the hours of 7am-5pm.
The second phase of the project is expected to take approximately 3-4 weeks. It is expected that roadways will be open to traffic during non-scheduled work hours. Rt. 206 will be the designated detour for the duration of the project, and signage will be posted to that end. Variable message boards will be posted in the area beginning on April 28 to alert motorists of the upcoming project.
