Princeton Borough Police Log: Jan. 14-15

Incidents include a DWI and hindering apprehension/tampering with public records.

 

A 24-year old Princeton man was arrested and charged with DWI early Saturday following a motor vehicle stop on William Street. 

Princeton Borough Police said Patrick Deifik, 24, of Magic Apartments, Princeton University was stopped for having an inoperable headlight and was subsequently arrested at 12:50 a.m.

Deifik was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23.

A 19-year-old female from Titusville was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and tampering with public records after she called 9-1-1 to report that a bouncer at the Ivy Inn would not return her New Jersey driver's license. 

The incident happened on Sunday at 1:47 a.m. 

According to borough police, an investigation revealed that the identification presented by Kelsey Reed, 19, of River Road, was not hers and that she was underage.  

Reed was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23.
