Police Blotter: Robbery at Zorba's Brother, Criminal Mischief on Nassau Street

The following incidents were reported by Princeton Borough Police.

 

Police are seeking anyone with information about a robbery at Zorba's Brother, 80 Nassau St. on Saturday night. 

It was 10:20 p.m. when police say a dark male wearing a dark leather jacket and dark colored pants, entered the business and said, "Put your hands up, this is a stick-up. The man is described as 35-40 years old, 5’-09” tall with a medium build

The suspect did not display or threaten the use of a weapon.  A store employee ran toward the man and shoved him out the door onto the sidewalk.  

The man allegedly left eastbound on Nassau Street. An investigation continues.

A Trenton man was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 15 after police responded to a report of someone attempting to force open the coin box on a newspaper stand on Nassau Street.

Police found Joseph Sibert, 74, of Trenton on the sidewalk near 174 Nassau Street at 8:37 a.m. with a screwdriver he allegedly used in his attempt to pry the box open. 

Silbert was charged with criminal mischief and being in possession of burglar's tools. He was released and is due in court on Jan. 7.
