Chiropractor Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault

A Lawrence chiropractor pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to inappropriately touching two female patients at his Lawrence Road office.

Peter Plumb, 55, of Riverview Avenue, Yardley, Pa., pleaded guilty before Mercer County Superior Court Judge Pedro Jimenez to second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, Plumb will be sentenced to a five-year suspended sentence and be subject to parole supervision for life.  In addition to forfeiting his chiropractic license, Plumb will be barred from any future state licensure.  He must submit to a psychological evaluation to determine if he is a repetitive and compulsive sex offender, and register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.

Plumb was arrested and charged on December 17, 2012, at his chiropractic office in Lawrence Township.  He is free on $102,500 bail.

The prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and the Lawrence Township Police Department conducted the investigation.  Assistant Prosecutor Michael Borgos represented the State.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 2.
