Fire Contained, No Injuries at Griggs Farm

The blaze broke out shortly after 8 p.m.

 

Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire that broke out in the second floor living room of a unit at Griggs Farm on Thursday night shortly after 8 p.m. No one was injured. 

The fire was contained to the living room of 208 William Livingston Court, although Princeton Fire Department called a first alarm because the row of town houses are made of wood frames, Fire Chief Dan Tomalin said.

The blaze was under control within 20 minutes of the first unit arriving on the scene, Tomalin said. 

In addition to Princeton Fire Department, Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad also responded. Mutual aid was provided by Montgomery, Rocky Hill and Lawrence Road.

Princeton fire inspectors and police detectives were conducting an on-scene investigation on Thursday night.
