Driver Arrested In Princeton For DUI In School Zone

A 46-year-old man was arrested this past week in Princeton for DUI in a school zone, police said.

On Sunday at 8:35 p.m., William Peeters of East Windsor was arrested at Alexander Street near University Place

Patrols responded to Alexander Street near University Place on the report of a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. During the course of the investigation by Ptl. Mike Strobel, it was discovered that one of the drivers, Peeters, had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to operating his vehicle.

Peeters was placed under arrest and transported to police HQ where he was processed and later released to a relative. Peeters was additionally charged with DWI in a School Zone, Reckless Driving, and Careless Driving. He was later released to a relative.
