Airbags Injure Two in Valley Road Collision

Township Police said driver ignored stop sign.

Two people were injured by airbags in a two-car collision at 2:11 p.m. Aug. 17 after police said a driver failed to observe a stop sign on Valley Road.

Police said a 1999 Toyota driven by Laure E Granarolo, 23, of Bear Brook Road in Princeton struck a 2007 Mercedes driven by Lucille G. Hastings, 73, of Brookstone Drive. Police said Granarolo was charged with failing to observe a stop sign.

Airbags on both cars deployed, injuring one driver and a passenger.

Police said the passenger in the Toyota was transported by Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad to the University Medical Center of Princeton for a wrist injury.  Hastings also was transported to UMCP for a complaint of chest pain.
