Royal Waye Anderson, 86, International Banker

Royal Anderson passed away on Jan. 14.

 

Royal Waye Anderson, 86, of Princeton, died on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Princeton Care Center.

He was born on Prince Edward Island, Canada. After college he joined The Bank of Nova Scotia where worked until his transfer in 1953 to the Wall Street Agency in New York City, and he retired as a Senior Assistant Agent in International Finance. Anderson was an elegant and gentle man who loved classical music, reading, traveling, and interacting with people of all ages. He will be greatly missed by the many who loved him.

Royal was predeceased by his sister Edith and twin brother Jack. He is survived by his sister Jean (Anderson) Burch, nieces Carol and Sandra, nephews Roger, Randy, and Duncan, and their families. He is also survived by dear friends Ernie Monge, Josephine (Monge) Schmeisser, goddaughter Josie and children Anastasia and Oliver, and by the extended Monge family and many close and loving friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery (main gate: junction of Greenview Ave and Humbert St).
