Obituary: John Crocker, Jr. Late Rector of Trinity Church

Rev. Crocker served at Trinity from 1977 until he retired in 1989.

 

Rev. John "Johnny" Crocker, Jr., 88, longtime rector of Trinity Church in Princeton, died on Dec. 30, 2011 in Cambridge, Mass.

Crocker joined Trinity in 1977 from the Episcopal chaplaincy at MIT and served until his retirement in 1989, according to the Trinity Church's online history, Crocker's tenure included expanded outreach, consolidation of the many liturgical changes of the preceding years and planning for needed facility improvements.

He is survived by three children, five stepchildren and two grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held in Christ Church Zero Garden St., Cambridge, Mass. on Monday, January 9 at 2 p.m.
