Rummage Sale Nets Thousands for Princeton Academy

Fundraisers like these make it possible for Princeton Academy to have class parties, community social events, and make other purchases.

The Princeton Academy Parent Association raised $7,200 with its 2013 fall Rummage Sale, a major fundraiser for the school.

PAPA member Teresa Cunningham, who coordinated the event, estimated there were about 75 volunteers alone who helped make the Rummage Sale a reality.

“If I can say one thing about this event, I would underscore its importance in satisfying multiple levels being one big, caring community,” said Cunningham. “We have so much to be grateful for – the parents are so generous and our boys see the value in donating and reusing. This is a terrific way to support our school with more than just money.”

Fundraisers like these make it possible for Princeton Academy to have class parties and community social events such as the tree lighting, spaghetti dinners, father/son gatherings and food and t-shirts for Field Day. It also goes toward ties for the eighth graders, holiday gifts for staff and faculty, Common Ground membership fees and community care expenses.

Leftover sale items were donated to Spirit Movers, a charity shop that distributes to 10 other South Jersey charity organizations.
