Mixing Fashion and Recycled Goods at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory

Lab employees got creative when it came to celebrating America Recycles Day.

The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory celebrated America Recycles Day a day early on Nov. 14 with a fashion show of dresses made of recyclable or compostable materials found at the Laboratory.

In this photo, PPPL employee Dana Eckstein models her dress made out of CDs, surrounded by other Recycling Day creations.

The lab was recently named by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection as one of the state’s recycling leaders for reducing the amount of municipal waste it sent to landfills by 69 percent in fiscal year 2012.
