The Mission Advancement office is launching Black History Month on Wednesday, February 6th with a Lunch and Learn session. Kimme Carlos , daughter of Dr. John Carlos, the Olympian who made headlines around the world for raising his fist in the Black Power salute at the 1968 Summer Olympics, will be our guest speaker.  All are welcome to join us as we take a look back at a pivotal time
during the height of America’s civil rights movement.  This presentation is free and open to the community.  Ms. Carlos works for the African Studies Association at Rutgers University, which brings together people with a scholarly and professional interest in Africa.
