Disney's Aladdin, Jr.

Hopewell Valley Children's Theatre presents....Disney's Aladdin, Jr.!!!

Don't miss out on the fun...pile the family into your flying carpet and share the magic as Hopewell Valley Children's Theatre proudly presents Disney's Aladdin, Jr.  Mark your calendar now for one of the two performance dates...an evening performance on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 7:30pm and Matinee performance on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 1pm... both at the Performing Arts Center at Hopewell Valley Central High School!  HVCT's production of Aladdin brings together area students from a variety of towns and elementary schools including, Stony Brook, Toll Gate, Bear Tavern, Hopewell Elementary, Lore, Princeton Charter School, Antheil Elementary, Village Elementary, and West Amwell.

Our cast will show you "A Whole New World" as they lead you on an adventure filled journey to the ancient city of Agrabah...where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail!   The story is narrated by Gretchen Cyriacus, Sasha Gardee, Molly Higgins, Chloe Lamond, and Gillian Lee. Believe me...you have never had a magical friend like Tiernan Stover who leads the magical mayhem as the Genie, with his lovely assistant Jeannie played by Chloe Margulis and Angelina Genovesi as the Magic Carpet.  Our Royal Family and Court includes Tristan Lee as the Sultan, Morgan Schragger as Princess Jasmine, James McLaughlin as Jafar, Kira Barich as Iago, Paige Lamson as Rajah, Steven Navarro as Razoul, Zach Benedetti as Fazoul, Caroline Watterson, Jamie Wills, Peyton Branaugh and Kyla Fogler as Jasmine's Attendants, Alex McInnes, Nick Benedetti, Dean Berman, Aran Mott, Aidan Mott as the Palace Guards. Residents of the town of Agrabah include Mathew Sing as Aladdin, Stella Dominick as Aboo, as well as Addison Sullivan, Julia McInnes, Jessica Llewellyn, Mary Hansen, Brianna Berensmann and Jackie Courtney.  Hit songs include A Whole New World and Friend Like Me!  And of course don't miss HVCT's signature ending...what we lovingly call the "Wow Bow"...a bonus feature of a fun mix of music tied to the theme of the show and starring our entire cast...sure to get everyone moving!  What’s the Wow Bow this year?  It’s a secret...you will have to come and see!!
  
The HVCT creative staff behind this production of Disney's Aladdin, Jr. includes Producer/Director - Cathy Sing, Music Director - Bernadette Furlong, Vocal/Costume Director -  Vicki Krampf,  Choreographer - Jessica Furlong, Assistant Choreographers - Katina Angelakis and Sarah Ehrenberg, Administrative Director/Artistic Consultant -  Moira Sandford, and Technical/Set Directors - Brian Sandford & Christian Lambert.  Supporting the cast and staff are a host of Middle and High School Interns, who volunteer their time and energy mentoring the elementary school age cast.

Entering its 15th year, Hopewell Valley Children's Theatre is a non-profit arts education program, endorsed by the NJ Council of the Arts and serving the Hopewell Valley Community since 1999.  HVCT's mission, to enrich and enhance the self-esteem and talents of local students through performing arts, has been the driving force for the program's expansion to year round performing arts experiences.  HVCT has always been "For Kids...By Kids"...keeping the students’ talents and need for growth and self esteem at the forefront of the organization's mindset.  Students are involved in every facet of the production...onstage and off...through hands-on learning environment.
