Conversion was a novum that caused a revolution in religious history. When Judaism introduced this to the world, it immediately aroused problems of process. Differences of opinion, dating from the Middle Ages and peaking in the Modern Era, have divided Jews across the centuries. We will discuss these differences and indicate possible solutions.
