Snowstorm Expected This Weekend

A winter storm watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning for multiple counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including both Mercer and Middlesex.

 

US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly has issued a winter storm watch and predicts snow this weekend.

Five to 10 inches of snow is possible, with highest accululations in Northwest New Jersey and the Poconos. Snow, ice and winds are expected to cause hazardous travel conditions and low visibility.  

A low pressure system is expected to develop near the Carolina coast late Thursday, then move northwest while rapidly intensifying through Friday night.

Snow is expected to mix with or change to sleet and rain across portion of the area, then changing to snow Friday night before ending on Saturday morning.
