Princeton Senior Resource Center Awarded $15,000 Grant

Princeton Senior Resource Center has been awarded a $15,000 grant to support the Living Healthy for Older Adults Program.

The program offers workshops on diabetes, obesity, heart disease and stroke, as well as referrals and linkages to services; discussions with health care providers; health screenings; flu and pneumonia immunization clinics and fitness classes.

The PSRC is among 25 organizations throughout New Jersey that will benefit from more than $500,000 in grants, the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey announced Tuesday.

“The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey is proud to support non-profit organizations that are making a positive difference in the lives of New Jersey residents every day,” Robert A. Marino, chairman of the board of directors of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and Chairman and CEO of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, said.  “These grants fund a broad range of initiatives that improve personal health and enhance the cultural and arts experience in New Jersey’s communities.”

Tuesday’s announcement marks the second round of grants released by the Horizon Foundation this year.
