Bat Found at Community Park School Tests Positive for Rabies

Anyone who may have come in contact with the bat should contact the Princeton Health Department or Animal Control Officer immediately.

A bat that was discovered at Community Park School on Tuesday has tested positive for rabies and anyone who may have come in contact with it should contact the health department or animal control officer immediately.

Call the Health Department at 609-497-7608 or Animal Control Officer Mark Johnson at 609-924-2728.

The bat was found near the school on Tuesday playground on a window sill about 10 feet off the ground, Animal Control Officer Mark Johnson said.

The area was roped off in the hopes the bat would fly away, but by Wednesday morning it was on the ground and officials sent it to the state for testing, Johnson said.
