The Titusville Academy Welcomes George Meyer to Board of Trustees

Hopewell, NJ – The Titusville Academy, a non-profit school serving students with disabilities, has announced that George C. Meyer has been appointed to the board of trustees of the school.  He will serve a term of three years.

Meyer, former Chief of Police in Hopewell Township, is a long-time resident of Titusville.  Since 1975, Meyer served in the Hopewell Townships Police Department, rising in the ranks from patrol officer to Chief of Police, a position he held for eight years before retiring in January, 2014.

“We are so proud to welcome George to our board,” said Deborah Zerbib, Executive Director of The Titusville Academy.  “He brings decades of service to the community, and has a deep commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children.”

The recipient of numerous awards and commendations, Meyer also serves on the board of PEI Kids in Lawrenceville, a non-profit child advocacy organization serving Mercer County.

The Titusville Academy is a New Jersey approved private school serving students ages five through 21 who have learning and behavioral difficulties. Students are placed by their local school district and attend at no cost to parents. To learn more, go to http://titusvilleacademy.org/
