Urban Outfitters Will Open in Princeton Next Month

The young and trendy retailer will open at the former Talbots store, which has moved a few doors down.

 

Urban Outfitters, will open its doors at 42 Nassau Street on Dec. 6, Palmer Square Management has confirmed. 

The retailer, which sells clothing, accessories and housewares for the young and hip, will occupy the first and second floors of the five story building.

Talbots used to occupy the first floor of 42 Nassau St., but recently merged into a single location at 38 Nassau with Talbots Petites. 

Urban Outfitters submitted, and received approval, through Princeton’s Historic Preservation Plan Review, to remove Talbot’s distinctive red front door, transom and side lights.

The company will install a new, taller steel door with tempered glass and steel framed side lights, transom and a vestibule inside the entrance.

A non-illuminated Urban Outfitters sign will protrude four inches from the building's façade.
