Cornerstone Community Kitchen

The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) has partnered with the Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC) to provide free, hot, nutritious meals to local residents in need.

The “Princeton Cornerstone Community Kitchen” is serving TASK meals from the Sanford Davis room at the Princeton United Methodist Church. Like the rest of TASK meal services, meals will be provided on an unconditional, no-questions-asked basis.

The Cornerstone Community Kitchen will provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere.  “Those who come will be guaranteed a warm greeting, someone to talk with if they like, and a satisfying meal,” explains Jana Purkis-Brash, PUMC Senior Pastor.  “We hope to nourish body and soul as we help to build community around the table.  The mission of our church is to joyfully respond to God’s love and growing as disciples of Christ by nurturing, teaching, reaching, and serving all people.  The members of Princeton United Methodist church have a strong commitment to service.  We look forward to serving the community through this new program.”
