Asian Fusion Restaurant Scheduled to Open in West Windsor

The restaurant will be located next to MarketFair Mall.

A new Asian fusion restaurant is expected to open in late October next to MarketFair Mall.

Peony Pavillion, located at 15 Farber Road, is owned by Lisa Shao, who also owns Szechuan House in Hamilton.

Peony Pavillon will serve lunch and dinner and has seating for 196 patrons.

Balancing the influences of Japanese and French/Thai-inspired cooking with locally sourced ingredients, Master Sushi Chef Yoshi (formerly of Sakura in NYC) has created a menu featuring both traditional and new culinary creations that are a combination of various Asian cuisines.

The menu will feature sushi and entrees like miso glazed Chilean sea bass, basil filet mignon and sesame tuna. Guests can also choose from the tempura and teriyaki menus, or enjoy traditional rice and noodle dishes. A private dining room for up to 60 people features a 1,000-piece crystal chandelier and video conferencing capabilities.

Following a $2.5 million renovation, the restaurant's interior will feature traditional Asian design, including a subtle peony theme woven throughout and design references to China’s most famous opera, The Peony Pavilion, a timeless love story written in the 16th century.
