The following letter was submitted by Peter Simon on Dec. 29.
As 2012 draws to an end, so does my tenure as President of the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad. I have been truly honored to lead a wonderful organization, and greatly appreciate the faith the membership entrusted in me to do so.
The past few years have seen great progress in the growth of our organization and our quest for a new headquarters. But this has also been tempered with the tragic loss of one of our own members in the line of duty. But, through it all, the squad has remained a professional, volunteer-led emergency services organization that is one of the best in the state. For that reason, I will still be heavily involved with the Squad, and will continue to work behind the scenes on many of the challenges the squad faces.
I thank you all for your support over the past years and wish you a happy and healthy New Year!
