Princeton Patch's Weekend Guide

A selection of fun and interesting things to do Oct. 7-9, including live music and theater.

Friday, Oct. 7

The , a tradition since 1918, will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Mercer Island Park, Nassau Street and University Place, to support the Garden Club of Princeton. Featured this week are fall bulbs.

a brings the music of Rodgers and Hart to Princeton Oct. 7, 8 and 9 at 8 p.m. with tickets ranging from $20 to $60. Hear favorites like "Isn't it Romantic?" and "My Funny Valentine."

The West Windsor Arts Center at 952 Alexander Road will present Oct. 7 and 8 at 8 p.m., a modern adaptation of the classic Greek play. General admission is $15.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Princeton native will perform at McCarter Theatre with a five-piece band. Tickets start at $40, show time is 7:30 p.m.

Yom Kippur services will be held by area congregations, including , and the .

will hold an at 10:30 a.m. at 102 Witherspoon St. The center provides services for middle and high school students.

Non-traditional will be held at at 5 p.m. at the church at Nassau Street and Vandeventer Avenue.

Sunday, Oct. 9

Gather at Princeton Basin Park off Alexander Road at 10 a.m. for a . The walk will extend 5.5 miles to Lawrence with return by carpool. 

A to benefit the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) will be held at the beginning at noon, featuring live music and events for kids. Admission is free and a portion of food and entertainment sales will benefit TASK.

The will hold an for the Thomas George exhibit "Inscape." The reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and the exhibit will run through Oct. 26.
