Princeton Patch Weekend Guide

Weekend highlights include a daffodill sale, local author day and Princeton High School's production of "City of Angels."

 

Friday

A workshop: “School Gardens: From Seed Packets to Soup Pots.” Learn what to plant, how to incorporate homegrown food into lessons and connect the garden to the classroom. There will be speakers, breakout sessions and panels, 9 a.m. 

will feature daffodills at the corner of Mercer and Nassau Streets. Proceeds will support The Garden Club of Princeton. 9 a.m.

 and Style in Qing Dynasty Landscape Painting, 12:30 p.m. 

explores the colorful culture
of India with a different aspect of India highlighted each week. This week is "food and clothing. Learn to wrap a sari, participate in a “spice journey”, experience regional cuisines of India, marvel at a beautiful display of Indian clothes, jewelry and bindis, 7 p.m.

Take one part Wilde, a touch of Lenin, a dash of Dada, a pinch of Joyce and you’ve got Tom Stoppard’s absurdly hilarious play,  7:30 p.m. 

A play, takes place in 1940s Hollywood where a writer is attempting to turn his novel into a screenplay while keeping his career, marriage and integrity intact. As he creates the story about a private detective, the characters in his screenplay come to life on stage in the world of gritty film noir, 8 p.m. 

 

Saturday

Local Author Day will feature workshops, networking opportunities and authors signing books. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

A documentary film, "Sing Your Song" chronicling the life of singer, actor and human rights champion Harry Belafonte, 7 p.m.

Tom & Sandy Doyle will perform a Les Paul/ Mary Ford Tribute beginning at 3 p.m. The Les Paul biopic "Chasing Sound" will be screened at 4 p.m.
