Patch is Hosting a Food Drive Today at McCaffrey's in Princeton

Feel free to swing by and help out! Food drive is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and benefits Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton.

Princeton Patch is partnering with  for a food drive today at McCaffrey's Supermarket in the   

At a time when people are struggling to make ends meet, Crisis Ministry helps our neighbors with hunger prevention, homelessness prevention and workforce training. 

The goal is to "Stuff the Truck" with food to go directly to stock Crisis Ministry's food pantries in Princeton and Trenton and serve residents across Mercer County.

  • Canned proteins (tuna, salmon, chicken, chili)   
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Shelf-stable milk (like Parmalat) 
  • Peanut butter  
  • Canned potatoes  
  • Cans of fruit, low-fructose  
  • Hot cereal (oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat)   
  • Small/medium box of cold cereal   
  • 1–2 lbs. pasta 
  • Boxed macaroni and cheese 
  • 2 lbs. rice   
  • 1 lb. dried beans  
  • honey (plastic container) 

Low-sodium and low-sugar foods are especially appreciated.
