Memorial Day Weekend Fun for the Family

Friday 

, 12-1 p.m., , 2751 Us Highway 1, Lawrence Township. Kids ages 2-5 can participate in this self-directed craft with a caregiver. No registration is required.

, 10 a.m., Princeton University Art Museum, Princeton. Bring the whole family for a self-guided scavenger hunt activity. Pick up game cards at the information desk.

 

Saturday

, 10 a.m., Princeton. A Memorial Day parade sponsored by Spirit of Princeton will begin at Princeton Avenue and continue to Borough Hall. Operation Shoebox will be collecting items for soldiers. Bring donations to Suzanne Patterson Center behind Boro Hall after the parade.

, 12-5 p.m., 500 Mercer Road, Princeton. Watch a reenactment of the Battle of Princeton. There will be muskets, cannon, fifes and drums. There will also be tactical formations and drills and a combined arms assault with marching, loading and firing volleys. 

, 11 a.m., , 2751 Us Highway 1, Lawrence Township. Story-time and craft for ages 2-5 with a caregiver. No registration required.

 

Monday 

, 9 a.m., Hightstown. The parade will begin on Stockton Street and will proceed down Academy Street to Bank Street and down Bank Street to Main Street. A ceremony will be held at Peddie Lake in downtown Hightstown (near the ) and another at the on Main Street.  The parade will then proceed to Academy Street and up Morrison Avenue to finish with a ceremony at the on Dutch Neck Road. After the parade, refreshments will be available at the VFW.
