Today is primary day in Princeton. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Today's primary includes races at all levels, from Governor to the local Princeton Council. 

At the local level, three candidates are running unopposed for two three-year seats on Princeton Council. Democratic incumbents for Council Patrick Simon and Jenny Crumiller are running for reelection. Republican Fausta Rodriguez Wertz is the Republican challenger.

Other races include:

  • Mercer County Democratic Freeholder incumbents Anthony Carabelli and Andrew Koontz are running for reelection. They are being challenged by Republicans Ron “Cef” Cefalone and Paul “P.J.” Hummel. 
  • Republican Christopher “Kip” Bateman is running for reelection in the New Jersey State Senate. Christian Mastondrea is the Democratic challenger.
  • Republican incumbents Jack Ciatarelli and Donna Simon are running for reelection terms in NJ Assembly District 16. Democrats Marie Corfield and Ida Ochoteco are running as challengers.
