Take a Bus From Princeton to NYC for $1

A new bus service started this month that offers one way fares between Princeton and New York City for as little as $1 each way, depending how far in advance you book.

Suburban Transit now offers express bus service to and from New York for as little as $1 each way.

The company has partnered with Megabus to offer $1 fares through megabus.com. Customers are encouraged to book early to secure $1 fares. Fares always start as low as $1 and get higher as the traveling date gets closer. The fares can run up to $14 each way.

Depending on the route, the longest bus ride is one hour and 45 minutes. There are eight daily departures to/from New York, seven days a week:

  • Departures from Princeton are located on Nassau Street at Witherspoon Street (at the gate to Nassau Hall).
  • Departures from New Brunswick are located at on Albany Street (across from the New Brunswick Railroad Station).
  • Departures from New York are located Gate 417 the Port Authority Bus Terminal. 

All buses offer free Wi-Fi and many are equipped with power outlets.
