Effective immediately, the speed limit on Cherry Valley Road in Princeton Township has been reduced to 35 mph from 40 mph.
According to Princeton Township Police, the change comes following considerable investigation and discussion, as well as with new pedestrian walkways and road improvements.

The speed limit reduction is also approved by Montgomery Township Police and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Both Princeton and Montgomery Township Police will socon begin a two-week education campaign that includex message boards in the areas announceing the speed limit reduction, along with alerts via Township websites, Facebook and Twitter.
