Sikh Community to Hold Interfaith Vigil Wednesday Night
The vigil is part of a nationwide remembrance for the victims of the Wisconsin shooting.
The Sikh community will hold an interfaith vigil on Wednesday Aug. 8 as part of a nationwide remembrance for the victims of the Oak Creek, Wisconsin Sikh Gurdwara shooting.
A special prayer service is being held at Sikh Sabha of NJ Gurdwara in Lawrenceville. The service will be followed by a candlelight vigil.
The program:
7-8 p.m.- religious service
8-8:30 p.m.- tributes by Lawrence Township Mayor Jim Kownacki, NJ Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson and community member Jaspreet Singh
8:30– 9:15 p.m. – candlelight vigil
9:15pm – Langar (community kitchen)
