Princeton Residents Can Pay Taxes Online
Payments can be made online using a checking account or credit card or can continue to be mailed in (with a new mailing address).
All Princeton residents may now pay muncipal tax and sewer taxes online.
Simply visit this link and pay using your checking account (no fee) or with a credit card (a convenience fee of 2.45 percent will be charged, minimum of $1.50, which is passed directly to the credit card processing company).
Payments may also be mailed to: Princeton Tax Office, 400 Witherspoon St., Princeton, NJ 08540 or visit www.princetonnj.gov.
Residents should continue to use the tax/sewer bills that were mailed to you last July. A final 2013 tax/sewer bill will be mailed this in July. Please note the following changes:
- Due dates are the Feb. 1 (with a grace period to Feb. 11) May (with a grace period to May 10) Aug. 1(with a grace period to Aug. 12) Nov. 1 (with a grace period to Nov. 12).
- In order to be considered timely, payments must be received by close of business on the grace period day. For delinquent tax and sewer charges, Princeton's delinquent interest rate is 8 percent on the 1st $1,500 and 18 percent on amounts over $1,500. A year-end penalty of 6 penalty will be added to any delinquency open through 12/31/13 that exceeds $10,000.
