So let me see if I understand. The first lady came to NJ to raise money for her husband's campaign and asked the attendees and people of NJ to travel to Pennsylvania to support her husband. What about NJ? Are we so enthralled by the Obama's that the issues in NJ hold no weight in this election? If we were a swing state would the President be more concerned about the issues facing NJ? Is 15% unemployment in some NJ counties of no concern?
As the election nears I sit undecided as to where to place my vote, but being snubbed and treated as if NJ is the loyal dog that always obeys its master has made the decision for me.

Simple are you better off now then you were 4 years ago - probably not? Is your property value the same, or lower ? Feel any safer? Obama's not qualified for the job and we need to let him go! He had his chance DON"T let him con you again saying it takes time and he need another 4 years. He does not care about the country or you the only thing that he cares about is himself. We need someone [ROMNEY] that has proven success to make our country a success before we turn into Greece from overspending. The US can't just keep printing money and giving it away. The vote needs to be NON partisan this year and it doesn't matter if you are black, white, purple, yellow, or orange...whether your left or right, whether your gay or straight, whether rich or poor.
GIvE YOUR VOTE TO ROMNEY& RYAN 2012 They will restore our countries economy and dignity and protect our childrens future and future generations to come...

To 930Sun..

No wonder they say conservatives' brain functions in a "different" way.

People are much smarter than that. That's why they threw the GOP out of the White House last time. Despite still suffering from the worst recession since 1930, the economy is recovering. Want evidence?

Check out these:

Monthly employment net change:
http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001?output_view=net_1mth
U-6 unemployment rate:
http://portalseven.com/employment/unemployment_rate_u6.jsp
And Obama's economy in a snapshot:
http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2012/news/economy/1206/gallery.Obama-econ...

Can't you see things are turning around after the recession Bush Administration inflicted upon us?

Also, if you think Romney could make a better president than Obama, then go ahead and vote for the man who is nothing more than a combo of Bush Jr.'s economic policies, Cheney's foreign policies, Santorum's social policies and Brewer's immigration policies.

There it is. The perfect savior for all you conservatives out there.

I'm sorry but I just don't trust a candidate like Romney who:
a) will not show his tax returns,
b) that is deliberately evasive about when he left the corporation
"he no longer had an active role in" in order to dodge taxes,
c) who flip-flops on every issue he has been asked about,
d) who distorts the facts to make himself look good, and won't elaborate
on what he plans to do to "help the country" out of this economic turmoil
we are in,
e) is in favor of giving taxbreaks to people who clearly don't need them, instead
of helping the middle class,
f) is a member of a political party that is railroading changes in voting laws in order
to ensure his victory, and is attempting to take away women's rights to their own
bodies.
I could keep going but you get the picture..

I have not read one post that tells me what Mitt Romney would do as President besides doing what George W Bush did. And all I know about Romney's background is that he was a lousy Governor of Massachusetts, created Obamacare, is withholding his tax returns and that he is a secretive Mormom. Why would anyone want to vote for him?
How can anyone expect Obama to clean up an 8 year mess + 2 unfunded wars + Medicare Part D in 3 years?? Oh, and with a Congress who only knows how to say NO. He's tried hard to compromise but the Republicans only want to oust Obama, not truly work to help America!

Vote Obama/Biden 2012!

To Oppressed... Mormons ARE secretive...nothing bigoted in that statement..nice try...
You and your ilk still have not said one good thing about your man Romney...Why on earth would any sane American vote for
-- someone who doesn't believe the government should be helping ordinary people
-- someone whose business experience was running businesses into the ground for the profit of the few
-- someone who holds a Swiss bank account and holdings in the Cayman Islands
-- someone who won't release his financial records
-- someone who really does hold true to the 'etch-a-sketch' characterization?
If you decide to answer that question, I want to hear good reasons to vote for Romney. NOT reasons why you hate Obama.

I am excited that Obama will be re-elected...you obviously are upset that Romney will lose...

Ag Nigrin - I am not a fan of Romney, he is a weak candidate, but he is a much better option than Obama. Obama is in way over his head, is under qualified, and don't get me started on my fears about what he truly stands for.

You say the economy is recovering, but it is an illusion unfortunately. The market is being manipulated, as are the statistics. We are in for a rude awakening when it all comes crashing down. We have dug quite a whole. It started with Bush and it has been accelerated by Obama.

I am not a Republican, nor a Democrat. I am an American who believes it is silly to hold any allegiance to any "party". My allegiance is to this country, and I am concerned about its future. It is looking pretty bleak.

To mrvrnj421:
I respect your opinion but I beg to differ. Romney is the weakest candidate for President the Republicans have ever put forth. Obama saved this country from a Depression and we would have had a much lower unemployment rate if Republicans had worked with him and not obstructed practically every initiative put forward. I, unlike you, am an optimist... and I believe if the country and our politicians pull together things will get better. Your doom and gloom scenario is your POV... Thankfully most do not agree with it!

Ag Nigrin; You say I am not an independent? So when exactly did I not become an independent? when I made an independent decision to vote for someone other than Obama? It's the same old game with you hard core left or right swingers, if anyone makes an Independent decision vote for the candidate they believe is best then the opposing group immediately labels you as a radical.
So unemployment is the current Governor's fault but the national economy is the previous presidents fault? Wow you must have been an accountant at ENRON!

John V: I didn't say you weren't an independent... Read my statement again wise guy... Has Romney come to speak publicly in New Jersey? NO! So if you are a true independent you would question Romney as well! Plus you seem to find it very easy to label me hard core and make other assumptions. I couldn't care less who you vote for. I was only pointing out fallacies in your original statement. You make it sound like it is the Presidents fault for unemployment in NJ. I beg to differ. Blame obstructionist Republicans! I also wonder why you think Romney is the answer. I certainly don't. I would not vote for a condescending rich man who would invent thinngs and do anything to get elected.

is adding $7 trillion to the debt when it was irresponsible and unpatriotic in 2008 campaign speeches now a GOOD THING? Or just a good thing when it buys votes?

Are you aware Obama's budget will grow the debt to $25 Trillion? We will be forced to pay $1 Trillion a year in interest to China. That is $1 TRILLION a year just in interest payments.

Only in the left's mind can you continue to give out stuff to fulfill campaign promises while doing exactly what you campaigned against (lower the debt and its unpatriotic). I suppose that is the easy way out and if you don't care like most don't you just say OK to it.

Ag Nigrin

9:22 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Are you aware that if Romney is elected he will give tax breaks and grow the debt by 5 Trillion and it will be unpaid for plus he will begin a war with Iran...

The President has an a very good record and it would have been better if the Republicans in the House would have worked with him instead of against him.
1. First president to successfully ensure that every American will have medical care without regard to pre-existing conditions. This includes some 20 million children. 2. Raised fuel standards on American cars to nearly double by 2024, going up to 55MPG. 3. Race to the Top education reform promising higher standards. 4. Saved American auto industry. 5. Withdrew all combat troops from Iraq as promised in 2008 campaign. 6. Got a measure of justice for 9/11 killings by killing bin Laden. 7. Supported the end of the regime in Libya without loss of any U.S. forces.

Vote for Obama/Biden 2012!

8. Knows when to use soft power and hard power. 9. Turned around a financial crisis threatening a depression. 10. Recognized the ignorance of austerity during a severe recession; something the GOP and many European governments failed to recognize. 11.Built stronger programs for military families. 12. Ended "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" in military. 13. Supported gay marriage as a recognition of a civil right. 14. Recognition that Bush tax cuts were inappropriate when fighting two unpaid wars.. 15. Realizes the enormous income gaps between rich and poor ought to be addressed as a matter of justice/fairness. 16. Supported tighter banking regulations. 17. Accomplished all of the above(most were campaign promises of 2008) despite a republican leadership stating that his defeat was their priority right from the start of his administration. -This is the record of an administration deserving another four years.

Vote for Obama/Biden 2012!

Classic left talking points.

In 2008 federal spending was $2.9 T and in 2012 it is $3.8 T. How much of this increase in spending is from the "wars" when they are winding down?

Why is spending projected at $4.5 T in 2017. Surely that can't be from the wars or tax cuts since spending is spending smarty pants.

Nice try. Of course the left is always unprepared with facts.

This country would have been in a Depression without Obama's economic stimulus and we would be out of the recession if Republicans worked with the President on his Jobs and Veterans Jobs bills. BTW... Your man Bush created the budgetary mess we are currently in. BTW..I STILL have not heard one good thing about Romney from you losers!

Why do income taxes have to do with Medicare/Medicaid or social security for that matter? They are supposed to be self funded.

Income taxes paid cover the true cost of the government NOT the entitlements.

It blows my mind that people think Romney is doing this for tax cuts. Romney doesn't need to be president he doesn't need tax cuts either. I don't know it just seems envious and pathetic to fault another man for being successful. His tax records really? The IRS collects his tax records like everyone elses and they are the only ones that should have access. Such a joke ! You should be happy a man that has made his own success is offering to take the toughest job in the world and help turn our economy around. Young vote for Romney/Ryan 2012 for a better future!

Things you should know about Mitt Romney Part 1:
Under Romney’s leadership, Massachusetts manufacturing declined by double the national rate, and was the third-worst overall in the country.
Governor Romney left behind a $1 billion budget deficit for the next governor and saddled Massachusetts taxpayers with more debt per person than any other state.
During Romney’s term as governor, state budget spending increased every single year.
The Washington Post reports that as CEO, Mitt Romney advised companies that were “pioneers” in outsourcing jobs overseas. As governor, Romney drew from the same playbook and outsourced state jobs. And today, Romney has proposed eliminating all taxes on companies’ foreign profits—which would actually encourage companies to send jobs overseas
Jobs. 47th out of 50 states in job creation
Taxes and Fees. Increased by $750 million per year.
Long term debt. Increased more than $2.6 billion.
Bain Capital recently bought a Chinese video-surveillance company reportedly “used to intimidate and monitor political and religious dissidents,” and Cisco “has marketed its routers to China specifically as a tool of repression.
Romney is still paid by Bain Capital.

IS THIS THE GUY YOU WANT AS POTUS? Not me!

@Ag you are an educator??? wow, how can an educator be so uneducated to support Obama? I see your posts blame everyone but the great O ye of hope and change. What exactly do you educate people on? How to ask for government handouts and be non-productive members of society? As an educator protected by a union with lavish pension and healthcare benefits, the middle class is really benefitting from your wisdom and that of the great Obummer! $16 trillion in debt spiking to $25 trillion. Spending in 2012 was $1 trillion higher than 2008 but BLAME BUSH is all you got. Why hasn't Mr Hopey Dopey cut the spending? Hell, just spend at 2008 levels genius and the debt won't grow as fast.

Explain to us how the government can spend $800B a year on Medicare on only $200B of revenue???? Come on there smart educator....explain this math

I know I know... the debt was only unpatriotic and irresponsible when O No was campaiging. Now it's Aint NO BIG DEAL.
