Princeton Basketball Scores For YWCA's Breast Cancer Resource Center
Saturday night's game demonstrated the power behind Princeton's women basketball players. They not only dominated the court against Harvard, they pushed the pink for breast cancer awareness.
Players were decked out from head to toe in pink and invited the community to do the same. The fans which normally create a sea of orange and black in the stands created a masterpiece of pink. One might suggest that the magic of so many local residents cheering them on helped them to win handily against Harvard outplaying and outplaying Harvard.
"It is important to educate young women that breast cancer can affect any one at any age," shares Diane Hasili, YWCA Princeton spokesperson. "We are thankful to Coach Courtney and the Princeton University Women's Basketball team for helping us to get that message out and for sharing that the Breast Cancer Resource Center at YWCA Princeton is there for those diagnosed with cancer."
Positive energy was in full force throughout the game with all the fans, but especially St. Joseph's girls basketball team, and a huge group from Our Lady of Sorrows in Mercerville.
