Princeton based director Charles Evered is set to direct a short film for Ordinance 14 Productions.
Out tells the story of Raymond, a down on his luck "everyman" who in the space of a half hour is forced to deal with the foreclosure of his home, his long denied sexuality and the rapidly failing health of his overbearing mother---(not necessarily in that order).
Production will begin on July 6 in the Los Angeles area.
Out was written by Evered, whose credits include writing for the original USA series Monk and directing the features Adopt a Sailor, (starring Emmy winners Peter Coyote and Bebe Neuwirth) and A Thousand Cuts, (starring Academy Award nominee Michael O'Keefe.)
A Thousand Cuts was recently nominated for a Saturn Award.
Set to star is Marty James, (The Fall Guy, Mirror Image, Malibu Beach), and as Raymond's best friend, Josh Fardon, (A Thousand Cuts, Frasier, Conspiracy Theory).
Final casting, including that of Louise, (Raymond's mom) in her 70's/80's, will take place on May 24th in Los Angeles.
Out will be produced by David Ho, Wendy Rolfe Evered and Ryan Tower. Executive Producers for Out are: Brad Moseley, (Titus), Gina Miller-Britton and Neil Sharkey.
