elements' Scott Anderson Named Semifinalist: Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic
On February 19, 2013 Chef Scott Anderson of elements was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Awards Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic. This prestigious distinction comes just four years after opening his interpretive American restaurant in Princeton.
Chef Anderson says, “It’s an honor to be named a semifinalist by the Beard Foundation. My team and I put all of our energy into creating a memorable dining experience for our guests, and it feels amazing to be recognized in this way.”
Chef Anderson is renowned for serving progressive cuisine, made from the freshest local products brought to his door each day. At elements, he and his team approach cooking as a constant learning process, always striving to push boundaries and drive the restaurant forward. Chef Anderson will be opening a second restaurant, Mistral, also in Princeton, in Spring of 2013.
Official nominations for the James Beard Awards will be announced on Monday, March 18. The James Beard Foundations Awards Gala will take place at Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday, May 6.
